I don't know why there is argument that only Sarfaraz and Asad are discussed. All media including social media have and are clearly criticizing all players such as Imam, Rizwan, Kamran, Umer Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Hafeez... All these big names have been under the radar of extreme criticism and dropouts. Not sure why Rashid bhai can't see that! Selectors have favourites just like Hafeez, rizwan, iftikhar, faheem. They had imran farhat previously. You dont have to perform to get selected. Where you from in pakistan and who you are related to automatically puts you ahead of others

@dboy0189 I was not talking about opening and middle order batting. Just their average. But you are right Fakhar is a delight to watch when in rhythm but unfortunately he is out of touch and I think we need to look at someone else like Zeeshan Ashraf or the other Zeeshan. Sharjeel is also a choice, maybe the next Chief Selector will consider him. Khurram Manzoor is also good. As far as Asad is concerned, I think the break will do him good to recoup himself and think where his future is. At the moment it's not in the national squad.

@Hamid Khan Love the way you explained, but with all due respect the role is different and to compare with opener vs middle order batsman has no logic for at least myself , Fakhar is not my favorite either but at least he has some aggression which might be helpful for bouncy pitches for lofted shots now compare Asad with Khusdil or any other player I would vote against Asad complete disaster even in local matches come on its time to have his departure sooner the better and for good !

Actually their complaint is that when Fakhar Zaman can be selected then why not Asad Shafque. At least Asad is far better batsman when compared to Fakhar. Anyway, Asad Shafque performance has been below par since past one year and deserve to be dropped for one series at least. Same should have been done with Fakhar Zaman as well. He played the whole series against Zimbabwe and despite his poor performance gets to be selected for NZ which is odd.

@Omar Ayaz I know Asad is not Like a Javaid Miandad or Zaheer Abbas but, he has played in Newziland so maney times we need a balance team a combination of experience and youngster players, according to Asad averag and selection requirements as Rashid Latif and Dr said he deserved and they proved about some of selected players who don't deserve to play in Pakistani team because, their domestic perfomance and average is no good and they're about 7 or 10 players half of the team, Azhar and Babar are v good players they can't play under pressure and there is no one behind them who can play on bouncei wickets of Newziland, Asad got experience and he back in his form, I am also a cricketer and I know it's v hard to play with unexperience and youngsters remember Team selectors are currupt as you know that, Selactors are not doing a good jobs for Pakistani cricket team but, they are doing a good jobs for illiterate untalented childrens of Landlords politicions or friends, what should I say Pakistan zindabad or keep quite and watch the illigal activities that's distroying our sports and our country????

Asad Shafiq has not won a test match for pakistan after playing 70 tests and yet he is being defended like he is Younis Khan. Danish Aziz played 2-3 insane innings in t20s where he won his team the game from a losing position as a lower order batsmen which we badly need and Rashid says "why is he selected". Absullah Shafique has shown great promise and was the second highest scorer in the recent T20 cup so how can his selection not be justified? Rashid is trying to turn this into a Karachi debate but if that was te case Fawad Alam would not be selected. Its simple Asad has been crap and has been replaced by Fawad.

@Dr wajid Ali Fawad, Danish are both in the squad. Khurram has been tried many times in T20 and he was not very good so they have moved on. Abrar is bowling in second XI so cant say yet its too early for him. Saud and Nauman yes are deserving players. But you cant keep complaining about a karachi divide anytime you dont like selection of some players.

@B A Asad and Azhar Ali are lucky to play that long along with Misbah bcz Pakistan played all its cricket on Low bouncy UAE tracks. Asad was a way better batsman than Azhar and others but he just plays for his useless 40-50 runs to keep his pace in the side, haven’t won a single game in 10 years and yet none of these anchors will bring that up..

As a sports lover, I do not like to see our yes man selector like Misbha and rest. If a selector can not recognize talent and make a firm stand to support them with true honesty then he should not be a chief selector. As a selector, your job is not only making money for yourself, your job is to select players only on merit. Result of this cowards act will be a big loss such as Asad Shafique and may others.
